Seafood encapsulates a wide variety of delicacies. But, more often than not, making seafood can be a bit difficult for some. But, there’s no need to worry. Here are five must-try seafood recipes that are not just delicious but also super easy to make.

Bourbon-Glazed Salmon

Ingredients:

  • Brown sugar
  • Bourbon
  • Soy sauce
  • Fresh lime juice
  • Fresh ginger
  • Garlic cloves
  • Salt
  • Salmon fillets
  • Sesame seeds
  • Green onions

How-to:

We first begin making this dish by marinating the salmon. To do this, add brown sugar, bourbon, soy sauce, fresh lime juice, salt, ginger, cloves, and ground black pepper in a large container. Make sure you mix all of these ingredients well. This will become your marinade. Apply it generously to your salmon fillets. Seal the fillets in a zip-top plastic bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. You can also marinate the salmon for longer. After marination, remove the salmon, preheat your oven and bake the fillets until the fish begins to flake.

Crispy Fried Prawns

Ingredients:

  • Fresh prawns
  • Lemongrass
  • Ginger buds
  • Oyster sauce
  • Tomato sauce
  • Yam paste
  • Kaffir lime leaves
  • Egg mayonnaise
  • Cornstarch
  • Vinegar
  • Honey
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Oil

How-to:
Again, we start with marinating the prawns. The marinade will contain oyster sauce, egg, cornstarch, and a bit of salt. Keep this for a minimum of 30 minutes and deep fry the prawns until golden brown. In another pan, heat one tablespoon of oil along with lemongrass, ginger buds, and chili. Add yam paste, honey, chili sauce, sugar, and tomato paste. Add vinegar and salt as per your preference. Add the deep-fried prawns to this mixture and mix thoroughly. Remove from heat and add in mayonnaise and serve hot.

Tuna Casserole

Ingredients:

  • Unsalted butter
  • Low-fat milk
  • Sodium-chicken broth
  • All-purpose flour
  • Bread crumbs
  • Egg noodles
  • Green peas
  • Cheddar
  • Tuna packed in oil

How-to:

Start by preheating the oven to 375°F and grease your baking dish. Melt the butter in a pan and whisk in the all-purpose flour. Add in the milk and broth and keep stirring until the mixture is thick and smooth. This string may take up to 10 minutes. Season this mixture with salt and pepper to your taste. Then, boil some salted water and cook the egg noodles for about 5 minutes. Drain the water and add in the mixture, tuna, and peas. Spread this concoction over the baking dish and sprinkle some bread crumbs and cheese. Then, drizzle a little bit of oil and bake.

Seared Scallops in Tuscan Beans

Ingredients:

  • Divided olive oil
  • Sea scallops
  • Salt
  • Crushed pepper
  • Onions
  • Cloves
  • White wine
  • Chicken broth
  • Cannellini beans or white beans
  • Baby spinach
  • Basil

How to:

Start by heating a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Sprinkle the scallops with salt and add them to the pan. Cook on both sides until it is done. Remove the scallops from the pan but keep them warm. Add another tablespoon of oil to the pan and saute the onions for two minutes. Add pepper, garlic, and stir in the wine. Cook this until all the water has evaporated, and then add in the broth, beans, spinach, and basil. Plate the two items together, and don’t forget to throw in some garlic bread for extra deliciousness.

Pan-Grilled Halibut with Chimichurri

Ingredients:

  • Fresh cilantro
  • Basil
  • Shallots
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Halibut fillets

How-to:

Start by combining cilantro, basil, shallots, olive oils, and lemon juice in a bowl along with salt and pepper. Heat a grill pan over medium heat and add fish to the pan. Season the fish with salt and pepper as per your taste. Cook on both sides and serve with sauce.
